Vacant Possession
Unless it has been agreed upon by all parties at the time the transaction is formally completed, it is a requirement that the house be empty at closing. If you foresee a difficulty in having the house vacant at the time the closing will be completed, contact your lawyer immediately. Failure to have the house empty on the date of closing may void the transaction.
